Gold Desk ("we") operates this website. We publish market research pages and may show third-party advertising.

Information we store

We do not require an account. The site saves the last good gold, silver and USD→PKR prices in your browser (via localStorage) so the page can show a number instantly on your next visit, or keep showing one if a feed is briefly down. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us. The calculator and tax estimator run entirely in your browser — the numbers you type in (grams, state, subtotal) are never transmitted anywhere or logged by us.

Third parties this page calls

To show live prices and headlines, our own server function on Netlify requests data from public sources (goldprice.org, gold-api.com, Yahoo Finance, Google News) and passes it to your browser. Your browser may also call gold-api.com and open.er-api.com directly as a backup. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. The live chart and price box are embedded TradingView widgets, subject to TradingView's own terms.

Advertising

If Google AdSense or another ad partner is enabled, those partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads, measure them, and limit repetition. Google's use of information is described in Google's own privacy and advertising pages. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's ad settings.

Log data

Our host may collect standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and reliability.
